Wayne Brothers > Training

"…Under the tutelage of senior training manager, Jim Lunsford, Wayne Brothers has the most advanced supervisor training system this manager has ever seen.  Recently, I was asked to participate in a training seminar where all upper managers and field supervisors spent two days understanding how to accept and promote personal accountability in their lives and at work.  I know of no construction team so focused on the development of safety leadership training materials and that is continually spending more time and funds on training than the leadership team of Wayne Brothers.  I have never seen a program this aggressive within any other organization."

 TRAINING

 Build yourself a better tomorrow…

As a premier construction services company, Wayne Brothers depends on a highly trained, highly skilled work force to maintain the integrity and quality the company is known for.  Wayne Brothers strives to have the brightest and most skilled workforce in the industry. Employees’ skills are developed through specialized and well-designed training and education programs delivered in-house as well as through recognized outside sources. Wayne Brothers’ comprehensive training program includes craft, supervisory and executive management developmental components. There is also a tuition reimbursement program for those seeking higher education.

With Wayne Brothers’ education and advancement opportunities, each employee can achieve his/her long term career goals.  Through comprehensive assessment and evaluation, Wayne Brothers’ individualized “career ladder” keeps employees on track to building a better future in the construction industry.

In-house training utilizes the Contren Learning Materials curriculum from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). All training materials have been aligned to specific competencies for each occupation within the company’s three divisions: Core Building, Concrete Finishing, and Grading.

Training opportunities are further aligned with the NC Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program, NCCER Certification, and various other applicable certificate, diploma and degree programs within the NC Department of Community Colleges.

These opportunities, along with internal incentive programs, which include pay increases and excellent benefits, are all part of Wayne Brothers’ ongoing employee development philosophy.
