AKZONOBEL PAVEMENT REMEDIATION

Salisbury, NC

Our scope of work here included: fill replacement, stone base, reinforced concrete paving, trenching, and vacuum piping in three phases.

ATI-ALLVAC SAF PHASE II PLANT EXPANSION

Monroe, NC

The Phase II Expansion scope of work encompassed a series of several turnkey combined-services packages.
The packages included:  Elevated Slabs and Outdoor Crane Pad, GFM Control Room, GFM Office, SMS Office, Building Foundation, Downstream Equipment Foundations for the Lab Saw, Transfer Table, Offload Table, Hot Saw, and Cooling Bed. 

Scopes of work for the packages included: Excavation, trenching, shoring, slab on grade, slab on metal deck, footings, piers, bulkheads, waterproofing, and backfill.

Charlotte, NC

This was a 28,500 sf  CIP expansion of the existing plant.  The scope of work on this turnkey concrete package included the excavation and concrete for the footings and 4", 6", 10" SOG, elevated slab on metal deck, pan stair fill, and dock walls.

LOWE’S

Mooresville, NC

Phase I: The Customer Support Center totaling 408,000 s.f. with five floors. Scope - of work for WB includes building and site wall foundations. Total foundation concrete totaled approx 5000 cy. Work began on March 25. In only ten (10) weeks we completed over 3000 cy of footings, and 1,200 lf of 20' high wall using a gang forming system. All building foundations were 100% ready for steel erection in ten weeks.

Phase II: scope-of-work included foundations, cast-in-place walls, SOG, and SOMD concrete construction in the 130,000sf  headquarters addition. Also included was an expansion of the Parking Deck, which utilizes Smart Beam construction with SOG, and SOMD construction

Phase III:  700,000sf office space at the headquarters. Our scope-of-work also included construction of foundations, walls, slab-on-grade, and slab-on-metal-deck construction of the new Central Energy Plant and Office buildings. A major portion of the work consisted of large cast-in-place site wall around the office buildings. Total concrete material on Phase III is around 12,000 cy.

Lowe’s Planogram Facililty: Turnkey concrete package consisted of foundations, slabs, concrete tilt-up wall panels, and exterior concrete pavement for the 104,000 sf facility. Lowe’s uses this facility for vendors to set up and display their products as they will be placed in their home improvement stores nationwide.

STERILITE

Clinton, SC

The turnkey concrete package for this projects consisted of foundations, and slabs for the new 2,450,000 s.f. manufacturing and distribution facility. The slabs are 5”, 6”, and 8” thick concrete reinforced with steel fibers. Also included in this contract is the exterior concrete paving package, which consists of 900,000 s.f. of 8” heavy-duty concrete pavement for the truck traffic at the facility.

HOMANIT

Mt. Gilead, NC

Turnkey concrete package totaling 350,000-sft. Included process lines, material forming areas and a warehouse.

GANASSI ENGINE SHOP

Concord, NC

This turnkey project included the complete site work scope of work including erosion control, grading, excavation, road construction, compacted stone base, fine grading, and all underground utilities. The turnkey concrete contract scope of work for the new manufacturing facility consists of the supply of all materials and labor to construct the foundations, pits, trenches, foundation walls, and concrete SOG, and tilt-up concrete wall panels.

CHIP GANASSI

Concord, NC

The turnkey concrete package for this new state of the art 155,000 SF NASCAR Racing Facility consisted of foundations, and slab on grade concrete construction.

POLYMER GROUP INC.

Mooresville, NC

Our turnkey contract on this fast track project included both the sitework and concrete scope of work. Sitework consisted of clearing, erosion control, grading, excavation, import, compaction and fill of approximately 80,000 cy of dirt, road construction, compacted stone base, fine grading, and storm water utility piping. The concrete contract scope of work for the new manufacturing facility consisted of construction of the 108,000 sf addition to the existing industrial plant. The work consists of foundations, pits, trenches, basement foundation walls, precision equipment foundations, and concrete SOG, and elevated SOMD.

NATIONAL GYPSUM

Mount Holly, NC

The turnkey scope-of-work for this new multi-million dollar industrial manufacturing facility in Mount Holly, NC included all layout, excavation, stone base, foundations, pits, piers, columns, walls, trenches, and slab on grade concrete construction work associated with the new major wallboard manufacturing facility.

SOUTHEASTERN PACKAGING CORRUGATING LINE UPGRADE

Harrisburg, NC

This work was critical and happened during a scheduled shutdown to install the new automated machinery to increase the speed of their manufacturing process. Our scope-of-work was performed within a critical 24 hour timeframe critical to the overall project success. The turnkey concrete scope-of-work included layout, demolition of existing concrete foundations, pits, slabs, excavation for new foundations, pits, and slabs, rebar placement, and a installation of the new BHS foundation system to support the corrugating line in plant No. 2. This was the third project we performed for this client at this facility.

BUSH BEANS

Dandrige, TN

The turnkey concrete package consisted the foundations, slab-on-grade, cast-in-place columns and elevated cast-in-place structure to support a new production line for the phase II expansion of the existing Bush Beans Food Processing Facility.

NGK CERAMICS

Mooresville, NC

The NGK Ceramics Plant project entailed an additional kiln line to expand manufacturing capacity at the plant. The project scope consisted of two large concrete pits, heavy mat foundations, rail foundations, and slab on grade (SOG). All work at NGK Ceramics Ph.II was performed inside the existing plant. Multiple excavations were required at depths of 13ft, and an engineered excavation plan was used that included soil nailing to shore existing building foundations. WBI placed a total of 650 cubic yards of concrete and worked a total of 6,000 man hours.
