Just a quick note to let you guys know that the shutdown work went excellent.  Wayne Bros really shined and proved to be very professional and especially safe.  This work  took place in a very confined area and had to be kept clean up to FDA standards and Gary Ackers did a excellent job.  I don't think I have ever had the pleasure of working with a more safety conscious group before and the cleanliness was outstanding!  As a matter of fact, Doug Johnson commented that he had never seen the area as clean as it is now. Thanks For A Great Job.

  McLeod Central Parking Deck
Wayne Brothers’ scope of work includes the layout, foundations, columns, shear walls, slab on grade and elevated slabs and beams for the new Central Parking Deck. The parking deck consists of 3 Levels which will provide 138,000 SF of additional parking area for the hospital facility. Approximately 5,500 cubic yards of concrete will be required to construct the parking deck. Work began in early May 2010 and is scheduled to be completed in late August 2010.

Wayne Brothers’ scope of work includes the foundations, columns, shear walls, slab on grade and elevated slabs and beams for the new West Parking Deck. The parking deck consists of 4 Levels which will provide 145,000 SF of additional parking area for the hospital facility. Approximately 7,500 cubic yards of concrete will be required to construct the parking deck. Work is scheduled to begin in late August 2010 and is scheduled to be completed in December 2010.

The turnkey concrete scope of work includes: Excavation and forms for mat foundations, footings, concret mud mat, foundation and basement walls with pilasters, peirs, shored slab, equipment pads, 6" slab on grade, 5" slab on metal deck, and waterproofing.

 

West Ashley Cancer Center

The turnkey concrete package for this job includes excavating and formwork for the footings, bulk heads, steps, elevator pit walls, and slabs on grade and elevated slabs on metal deck.

 

 Jackson County Transfer Station

Sylva, NC

Wayne Brothers’ scope of work includes foundations, slabs on grade, iron aggregate tipping slab, heavy duty concrete paving, building foundation walls and site retaining walls with an average height of 18’. This project consists of approximately 35,000 contact area sf of wall formwork and approximately 2,500 cyds of concrete. The project began in early October and is scheduled for an early February finish. The project presents substantial site logistics issues due to the existing transfer station remaining in operation and requiring an uninterrupted traffic flow to the existing facility.

CPCC Parking Deck #3

Charlotte, NC

Matt foundations for parking deck. On Saturday, November 7, 2009, Wayne Brothers, Inc. made the largest single concrete placement to date in the company’s 24-year history.The pour consisted of more than 3,500 cubic yards of 4,000-psi self-consolidating concrete and 320 tons of reinforcing steel. Concrete Supply Company, Inc. provided the self-consolidating concrete for the foundation and utilized 47 ready mix trucks and 3 plants for a total of 450 truck loads of concrete to support the pour.

Turnkey concrete package for precast parking deck. Scope of work includes: Excavation, backfill, fine grading, concrete slabs-on-grade, embeds for foundation walls, elevator pits, knee walls, equipment pads, footings and piers.

 

Dakota Street Culvert Replacement

Kannapolis, NC

WBI is Prime Contractor on this job. The project involves replacing existing 96" CMP with dual 12' x 8'reinforced concrete box culverts & associated infrastructure improvements to sanitary sewer, storm drainage, roadway and  water lines.
