November 2002 Wayne Brothers, Inc. Wins Three Golden TrowelŽ Awards
For Release -- With the 90's came a better means for measuring and evaluating concrete floors for their intended use. F-numbers (Face Floor Profile Numbers) were developed by The FaceŽ Companies and were officially adopted in 1990 as a standard for the specifications and measurement of concrete floor flatness and levelness by both the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). Measurement procedures for ACI/CSA F-Numbers have been set forth by the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM).
FF is the F-Number for flatness (or "bumpiness"), while FL is the levelness F-Number, describing the "tilt" of the floor slab. Because the F-Number System gives construction professionals accurate feedback... design, placement and finishing practices have been optimized, resulting in flatter and more level floors for the same investment.
Having adopted standards company wide, Wayne Brothers, Inc. was honored in Las Vegas, Nevada, in January 1999 for their workmanship in obtaining higher FF Numbers than required on two projects. Out of thirteen national Golden TrowelŽ Awards given, Wayne Brothers, Inc. won two. One represented the Yager Corporation headquarters; Pineville, NC and the second represented West Marine Distribution Center; Rock Hill, SC.
Again in February 2000, Wayne Brothers, Inc. was honored in Orlando, Florida for winning a "third" Golden TrowelŽ Award. The project represented was WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina. The General Contractor for this job was R.T. Dooley Construction. Wayne Brothers, Inc. is proud to continue to rise above the rest in quality and customer satisfaction. |
